3 Usability and Evaluation of Hypertext

Wright feels that the following five issues have to be examined while evaluating hypertexts [Wright, 1991]:

  1. Adequacy of the content and the interface.
  2. Acceptability to readers.
  3. Adaptability by readers for the task in hand.
  4. Skills of the readers as information users.
  5. Costs of production and dissemination.
